Home of Vasco di Fresca
Visit the house where the famous author and philosopher lived between 1934 and 1938.
Though destroyed in 1945, the house has been restored to it's former glory, and
now houses the Di Fresca Museum.
Big collection of books and di Frescas personal
collection of ashtrays, artifacts and manuscripts.

The building also houses the cozy Cafe Vasco, one of the
classic Scôzer Coffeehouses, where
they still serve di Frescas favorite cake: Czocolader Gnaz.

Trams and Poetry
The trams of Scôz am Rhein are a classic symbol of the city.
Like so many other things in this city, the trams have a true
history of Culture.
In the 30's, local poets and artists used the trams as scenes for their
performances, and that tradition has lived on to this day.
Enjoy a classic Poet-Tram-Tour, with it's unique mixture of local color and
cultural flair. The ride also takes you past some of the cultural landmarks
of Scôz am Rhein, including Cafe Ov and Palace of the People.
All poems are read in English or German, Japanese translations are available for a small fee.

The churches of Scôz
Scôz am Rhein had many beautiful churches, but
many of them were destroyed during the war.
Those that survived were neglected by the new
rulers of the city, and fell into decay.
But in recent years ambitious restorations
have brought these architectural masterpieces
back to their former glory.
Join a guided Church Tour and see these
classic buildings, including Laszky church and
Friedrich Krischmachebaums modernistic masterpiece Ulmez Frauez.
The tour also brings you to the old cemetery, in Ovary Pradze
